1. Overview
FogOn is designed to control the rear fog light on compatible BMW G30 and F90 vehicles through a direct ENET connection. The app does not require you to create an account.
2. Vehicle and connection data
While connected, FogOn communicates locally with the vehicle's supported control units to determine connection status and perform the function requested by you. This communication is intended to remain between your iPhone and the vehicle; FogOn does not intentionally upload vehicle data to DMBT-operated servers.
3. Personal information
FogOn does not ask you to provide your name, email address, or account credentials to use its core functions. The developer does not sell personal information. If you email support, the information and any attachments you choose to send will be used to respond to your request.
4. Analytics, advertising and tracking
The FogOn iOS app is not designed to include advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party advertising profiles. The app's core vehicle connection works locally and does not require an online FogOn account.
5. Third-party services
FogOn relies on iOS and compatible Ethernet hardware to establish the direct vehicle connection. Apple may process information when you use iOS, the App Store, or other Apple services under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. FogOn does not receive your full payment-card details.
6. Data retention and deletion
Any app settings or state stored locally remain on your device until they are reset, removed by the app, or deleted with the app. Support emails are retained in the developer's mailbox as needed to handle the request and related follow-up.
7. Security and safe use
FogOn relies on iOS device security and a direct wired connection to the vehicle. No electronic system can guarantee absolute security. Use the app only with a vehicle you own or are authorized to operate, and never while driving.
8. Children
FogOn is a vehicle utility and is not intended for children.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if FogOn's features, data practices, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
10. Website analytics
The dmbt.dev website uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-GGV16RBYR3) to understand website traffic and page usage. This website analytics is separate from the FogOn iOS app and does not send vehicle connection data to Google Analytics.
When you visit the website, Google Analytics may process information such as the pages you view, referring pages, approximate location, browser and device information, interactions, and cookie or similar identifiers, depending on the service settings. Google processes this information under its own terms and privacy policy.
